Historical Importance of Karwar
The nature ans scenic view is such inspiring that it is believed that the great writer, poet and Noble Prize winner Rabindra Nath Tagore wrote his fiest play at Karwar only. After that only Karwar came in lime light as a tourist spot of Karnataka.

There are five islands along the karwar coast out of which Devbagh is most exciting, exciting and impressive. All island are worth to visit but visits to Anjidev Island are restricted.
