The Bangalore metro rail project was finally approved in April 2006 after the success of Delhi metro project. More than 40 stations are planned and scheduled to reach the destination within 35-45 minutes. The number of passengers expected are more than 10 Lakhs per day.
The main stations cover by namma metro project will be:-
1. Ulsoor
2. M G road
3. Jayangar
4. K.R. road
5. Mysore road terminal
6. Rajajinagar
7. South end circle
8. Attigupe
9. Vijayanagar
10. Peenya
11. Yeshwanthpur
12. Jalahalli
