Kannada Actor Prakash Raj was born to a Tulu speaking family in Puttur, in Karnataka state on 26th of March in the year 1965.Kannada Actor Prakash Raj belongs to a Bunt sect. Kannada Actor Prakash Raj's school days were done in St.Joseph's Indian High School in Bangalore,Karnataka. Kannada actor Prakash Raj later joined St. Josephs College of commerce,in Bangalore,Karnataka where he participated in many plays,stage performances,mono-acting,debates etc most of which were in Kannada.This also got him lot of fame in his college.Kannada Actor Prakash married actress Lalitha Kumari in the year 1994. They have two daughters—Meghna and Pooja and also a son named Siddhu. But Kannada Actor Prakash Raj's Siddhu died of major injuries sustained from a fatal fall in the year 2004. The couple were split and got divorced in the year 2009.Later Kannada Actor Prakash Raj married the famous choreographer named Pony Verma on August 24th, in the year 2010.They are a happy couple now!

Kannada Actor Prakash Raj began his glorious acting career with Kannada Doordarshan serials like Bisilu Kudure and Guddada Bhootha. Kannada Actor Prakash Raj later took up the supporting roles in Kannada films in Kannada film industry like Raamachari, Nishkarsha and Lockup Death. Kannada Actor Prakash Raj was very versatile and talented from tht time only!Hence Kannada Actor Prakash Raj was noticed for his clear,enhanced dialogue delivery and histrionics in the starting movies itself. This began the film career of Kannada Actor Prakash Raj.
