Karnataka Ex-Chief Minister Bangarappa's Parents were Kallappa and Kallamma.Karnataka Ex-Chief minister S. Bangarappa's full name is Sarekoppa Bangarappa.
Karnataka Ex-Chief Minister Bangarappa got married to Shakuntala in the year 1958 in January. Karnataka Ex-Chief Minister Bangarappa has five children among which Kumarbangarappa is a famous actor and Politician and MadhuBangarappa is also a Politician. Karnataka Ex-Chief Minister Bangarappa was a graduate in law i.e he had done a degree in law(B.A).Also Karnataka Ex-Chief Minister Bangarappa had done Diploma in Social Science.

Karnataka Ex-Chief Minister S.Bangarappa started his splendid Political career in the year 1967 as from Shimoga district for the Karnataka state assembly elections.Later Karnataka Ex-Chief Minister Bangarappa became the Cabinet minister in the year 1977 where he got the post of Home Minister where Devaraj Urs was the Chief Minister in that time! In later years Karnataka Ex-Chief Minister S.Bangarappa also became Public Works Department Minister and also Revenue Minister. Meanwhile, Karnataka Ex-Chief Minister Bangarappa changed many parties. First he worked for Indian National Congress(INC). Later years,He left Indian National Congress joined Karnataka Kranthi Ranga . But after some years,Karnataka Ex-Chief Minister Bangarappa joined Indian National Congress (INC) again. When the Indian National Congress(INC) was headed by the new leader,Sonia Gandhi,left the Congress party again ! This time Karnataka Ex-Chief minister Bangarappa decided to form a new party and he named the parties like Karnataka Vikas Party and Karnataka Congress party. In the later year due to some of his political defeats,he joined BJP. After that Karnataka Ex-Chief Minister Bangarappa joined Samajavadi party too.Later, in December 2010 with his political career in bad state, Bangarappa joined the party Janata Dal(S).

Karnataka Ex-chief Minister S.Bangarappa conflicts with his son,Kannada film Actor and politician Kumar Bangarappa:

Due to the party shift of Karnataka Ex-Chief Minister Bangarappa in the years 2004 and 2005,and the comments made by him during assembly elections caused serious conflicts between him and his son Kannada actor and Politician Kumarabangarappa which led to their separation. Also their reunion did not happen even before his death! Kumara Bangarappa was not allowed to see his father's dead body by his mother(Bangarappa's wife Shakuntala) and brother Madhubangarappa!

Karnataka Ex-Chief Minister S.Bangarappa died on 26th of December in the year 2011 due to Kidney failure as he was previously suffering from Diabetes.
