The alumni meet of the Poojya Doddappa Appa College of Engineering, one of the recognised engineering colleges in the State which is celebrating its golden jubilee, will be held in Gulbarga city on February 6 2010. President of the Hyderabad Karnataka Education Society Shashil G. Namoshi is leading from the front for this event. it is expected that 3,000 alumni of the college, including 60 NRIs, would participate in the meet. The meet will be inaugurated by Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa. Union Minister for Labour and Employment M. Mallikarjun Kharge and the former Chief Minister N. Dharam Singh will be the chief guests. As part of the meet, the PDA College of Engineering has proposed constructing a Golden Jubilee Alumni Students’ Activity Centre, which will house a state-of-the-art auditorium, two seminar halls, indoor sports facilities, open air theatre, gymnasium, recreation plaza and a guest house.
