Government of Karnataka plans for direct Recruitment of PU Lecturers

Government of Karnataka has decided to fill 1765 lecturer positions in the Government Pre University colleges to be selected through direct recruitment. This is done for the first time by the State Government. Along with a Post Graduation degree, the possession of BED degree has been made mandatory for candidates who aspire for this position.

The recruitment of the lecturer positions were through Karnataka Public Service Commission and entrusted in the Central admission centre of the directorate of public instructions. Now the Government ahs withdrawn the responsibility of recruitment of lecturers from KPSC. A draft rule regarding the new recruitment process was notified on Friday. The government has given 15 days time for filing objects if any to the draft rules published in the gazette. After the issuance of final notification, the recruitment process will begin in October 2011.
