Many of us might remember the double decker buses which were plying in some of the city roads beyond Majestic towards south Bengaluru. A feasibility study is goioing on for the purpose. The Volvo is ready to supply the buses. However it will not be easy to implement this scheme as the road conditions may not be suitable for the double deckers. Most of the roads are with trees which restrict the height of vehicles to ply on such routes. Then there are underpasses and flyovers which also put some restrictions on the height of the vehicles. If these obstacles could be overcome, we can expect double deckers on the roads during the early 2012.
