It is coming to online for almost everything. Booking of tickets for railways, airlines, banking and so on. So far, my experience has been OK. For example I purchased a camera based on an online offer in a newspaper. It happened to be a very good experience in terms of time taken, quality of camera and also the cost factor. I am sure it might have cost me more if I had gone to some local dealer. Also the expenditure on travelling to that place and the time to do that would have been additional implications. So, if there is a choice I would prefer purchasing online. However, one needs to take necessary precautions about the security. One should go for purchasing online only if the site is secure. There have been some complaints about the security and quality of products occasionally from certain quarters. But I feel if done with precautions it is always beneficial.
