Lokayukta Police's mistake - A woman employee's suffering for 15 years

A second division assistant in the Taluk office in Mysore was accused of demanding and accepting a bribe of a small amount of Rs. 200/- for issuing a community certificate about 15 years back. The lady was suspended, charge sheeted and finally removed from service when convicted by a lower court in 2007. She appealed in the High Court and finally won the case for want of sufficient evidence of demanding and accepting bribe.

The decision does not bring any smile to the lady employee. She has faced a mental agony for no fault. KSR members may express their views on such a glaring lapse on the part of Lokayukta Police.
