Bangalore Metro works are progressing very fast. A mock-up train -imported from Korea- has arrived Anil Kumble circle, Bangalore on 24 June 2010. It has been brought from Korea to Chennai by ship and from Chennai to Bangalore by an 80 tyre truck. There are 3 coaches & an engine for the model train. Each coach can accommodate 400 people. BMRC give a chance for the public to have a closer look & feel of the train. The model will be displayed till December (By which Reach 1 is expected to complete). There will be 5 Metro trains on Reach 1. The first one is expected to arrive by Oct.1st week. Reach 1 will be completed by Dec 2010 if everything goes as planned.

Bangalore Metro Rail News The first mock-up train of Bangalore metro stationed at Anil Kumble Circle has been unveiled by Chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on friday 16th, July 2010 and is now open for the public. People are rushing-in to get a glimpse of the new attraction. The first metro train is expected to reach the city in October and the trial run will be in November, officials said. It will ply between Byappanahalli and the cricket stadium.

Bangalore's first Metro train - Trial run Banglore's first metro train had its first trial run on wednesday, December 8,2010 after the necessary static tests. After 6 days of trial run, the train will start the service from Byappanahalli depot to CMH road. According to BMRC officials, the metro train will run up to M G road by Dec.20, 2010.
