Dams in Karnataka

Dams and reservoirs play an important role in retaining water and managing water flow into specific regions and in the rivers. Water stored in dams is also used for generating electricity (hydroelectricity). Karnataka in south India, which is wellknown for its river, has several dams and reservoirs.
