Vishnuvardhan, the stylish kannada actor was born on September 18, 1950. His father was a famous artist Late Sri.H.L.Narayan Rao and his mother Late Smt. Kamakshamma.
Vishnuvardhan's Childhood Days :
His childhood was in Chamundipuram Mysore, He studied his primary schooling in Mysore's Gopalswamy School,middle school in Bangalore's Kannada Madari School, completed his high School and degree in the National College, Basavanagudi, Bangalore.
Vishnuvardhan's Family:
Vishnuvardhan has one brother and four sisters named N.Ravikumar, Smt.Indrani, Jayshree, Rama and Poornima.His marriage was on 27th of february 1975 with Bharati at Kuchalamba kalyana Mantapa in Bangalore, he has two adopted daughters, Keerthi and Chandana.
Vishnuvardhan's Career:
He was in the kannada film Industry for more than 27 yrs with more than 175 films.Vishnuvardhan started his career with Vamshavruksha directed by Girish Karnad, this movie won the national Award, then the movie Nagarahaavu which was directed by Puttanna Kanagal,in which he become popular in karnataka. His super hit movies are Naagarahaavu ,Muthina Haara, Hombisilu, Sahasa Simha, Bandhana, Naagara Hole, Nishkarsha, Yajamana, Bhootayyana Maga Ayyu & Apthamitra.
He was not only a actor but also a good singer, he sung in movies, devotional songs and he did some albums too.
Vishnuvardhan's Death:
The Phoenix of kannada cinema end his life by leaving his family, friends and thousands of loving fans in great sorrow on December 30, 2009, due to a massive cardiac arrest, at 2:30 AM at King's Court in Mysore, Karnataka, India.
Each and every heart of Karnataka pay their last tribute to Legend Dr. VishnuVardhan on December 30, 2009.

Dr. Vishnuvardhan's real name is Sampath Kumar but people endearingly address him as Vishnuvardhan, Sahasa Simha and by other aliases.
