6 Educational institutions in Karnataka has lost its deemed university satus.

The human resource development ministry has ordered 6 Educational institutions in Karnataka to stripoff the status of "Deemed University".
The list of 6 institutions in karnataka which lost the deemed university status are :
1. Christ university, Bangalore.
2. Jain University, Bangalore.
3. SYenepoya University, Mangalore.
4. BLDE University, Bijapur.
5. Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Tesearch, Kolar.
6. Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education, Tumkur.
The reason for derecognition of universities are many which also include poor infrastructure, lack of good expertise, higher fee structure than prescribed byt the ministry etc.
By stripping of the "deemed univesity status" students will not be affected.
