Mysore University Campuses

The Post graduate Campuses of Mysore University are located in three places Mysore, Hassan and Mandya, namely Manasagangotri, Hemagangotri and Sir M. Visvesvaraya Post Graduate Centre respectively, and the Outreach Campus of Mysore University is located in Srilanka.

Manasagangotri of Mysore university:

The main campus of Mysore University is called Manasagangotri, which was named by the poet Dr. K.V.Puttappa popularly called Kuvempu. This campus was created in the year 1960. It covers the area of 739 acres at the western end of the Kukkarahalli Lake. The Crawford Hall is the University headquarters situated right across the lake on the eastern end.

Hemagangotri Mysore University:

The Mysore University established this Hemagangotri Centre in the year 1992. It is situated about seven Kms away from Hassan city. The Master Control Facility of ISRO is located here. Hemagangotri has 5 departments offering post graduate courses. The campus has the facilities like well established classrooms, hostel facility and laboratory. The Library here is accumulated with 10,500 books, 13 study journals, 24 study magazines and news papers. Aim to establish this Hemagangotri is to facilitate higher education to rural youth.

Visvesvaraya Post Graduate Centre of Mysore University:

Visvesvaraya Post Graduate Centre was created in the year 1992 and is located at Tubinakere, which is ten km away from Mandya district towards Mysore on the highway. The total Campus area is about 98 acres. It has an academic block and two hostels.

Outreach Campus of Mysore University:

Outreach Campus of Mysore University is Spectrum Institute of Science & Technology, which is located in #190, Galle Road, Colombo4, Srilanka.
