Idagunji Vinayaka Devsthan in Honnavara, Karnataka

Idagunji Ganesha devasthana fulfilling the wishes of visiting Bhakta

On the way to Udupi from Sirsi to Udupi when cross Honnavar taluk of Uttar Kannada district we see beautiful arch on left side which leads to famous Vinayaka Temple. This place is called as Idagunji and we have cover around 3-4 KMs from the main Arch on the Highway No 17.

Here the idol is standing Ganesha with Dwidanta (Normally we see Ganesha with ekadanta only) with modaka and padma in his hands. Ganapathi was invited along with all other gods for attending puja performed by Valkhilya Maharishi. Ganesha was pleased with the offerings of Pooja and expressed his desire to stay here in Kunjaranya which is now renowned as Idagunji.

Temple is having accommodation facility and meals prasadams to pilgrimagers
