Karnataka famous dish - Bisi Bele Bath

How to make Bisi Bele Bath which is a very famous dish of karnataka. Below is the receipe to make Bisi Bele Bath.


Bisi Bele Bath Ingredients
2 cups Rice
2cup Tur dal
3 small brinjals
1 Fresh Carrot
2 Fresh Drumsticks
1 onion
A pinch of Turmeric powder
6 Red chilies
5 Green chilies
1 tsp Mustard
25 gm Cashew nut
Curry leaves and Coriander leaves as required
Small size lime
1 spoon Ghee for frying
Salt to taste

Powdering Ingredients

2tsp of Fenugreek seeds
2tsp Coriander seeds
7 Red chillies
1/4 cup Grated coconut

Masala Ingredients
4 Cardamoms
5Cloves
1tsp Aniseeds
1tsp Poppy seeds

Bisi Bele Bath Preparation Method:
1. First Peel the onion.
2. Peel and cut all the vegetables in to small pieces.
3. Then clean the rice and dal by using water put the washed rice and dal in a container with equal + one cups of water, then add all the chopped vegetables and a pinch of turmeric powder with that.
4. Take a frying pan and pour some oil then add powdering Ingredients, fry it
Until it turns golden brown, Powder it and keep aside.
5. Fry poppy seeds, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, aniseeds in again in the frying pan and Powder it.
6. Soak tamarind in water extract tamarind juice.
7. Heat oil, and add all the red and green chilies, mustard, curry leaves. After mustard crackles, add this to boiled rice and mix well then add tamarind juice, required salt to taste and mix well.
8. Take the frying pan and fry the cashew nuts with ghee until it becomes golden brown.
9. Add the powdered ingredients and masala powder with rice and mix well.
Finally add chopped coriander leaves and add ghee for taste during hot serving.

It will taste good when eat with crispy chips.
