Butterfly Park is located in near Bannergatta national park area of Bangalore. The Butterfly Park covers the area 7.5 acres in Bannergatta Zoo. The main aim to set this park is the conservation of butterfly species. This is the India’s first Butterfly Park.

It has a very nice environmental setting of green plants which are liked by the butterflies with an artificial waterfall system. There is a museum which gives the information regarding butterflies in detail.

Butterfly Conservatory is a 10000 sq feet circular enclosure with a polycarbonate roof. Inside that roof there are more than twenty species of brightly coloured beautiful Butterflies are found.

Next to the Conservatory is a Museum which provides life history of a butterfly starts from the egg stage caterpillar, pupa or chrysalis, and the adult. There we can get the information regarding different species of Butterfly’s like Eastern pygmy blue, wingspan, Bird-wing butterflies etc.

There is a dome in the complex where we can enjoy the 20 minute movie about butterflies. This gives all the information regarding butterfly species, habit, habitat, lifestyle and conservation. The movie gives the detail explanation of butterflies and men interlink, conservation of the universe in mutual benefit.
