Karnataka public commission KPSC was constituted under the provision of the Constitution of India.

The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), which was established in the year1951 under the purvey of the Constitution, enroll candidates for the various civil services throughout the state. Selection is made on the basis of marks scored by candidates for consideration by the Commission (preliminary and main tests) and personality test. For some state services, the Commission makes a written exam or a competition test to test candidate's personality.
