1. There are no entry fees to Shivanasamudra Waterfalls.

2. The best photographic pictures of Shivanasamudra Waterfalls can be taken from the Shivanasamudra watch tower.

3. The Gaganachukki falls can be approached either from the direction where the Darga Hazrath Mardane Gaib is located; or from Madhyaranga via the Malavalli- Kollegala road (note: this road is not a proper motorable road due to its poor state).

4. The Bharachukki falls is not located exactly next to the Gaganachukki falls, but is about 1km from the Gaganachukki falls.

5. The cascade of water at the Gaganachukki falls is very forceful and hence it is not advisable to bathe or swim at these falls. Please do not ignore the warning signboards at the site & be foolish enough to view the falls from the peak or try to make your way down to the base. There have been very serious accidents, some fatal.

6. At Bharachukki falls it is possible to walk down to the base of the falls and stand in the shallow water – provided you check first that the force of the water is not too powerful.

7. There is no accommodation whatsoever at the site of the Shivanasamudra Waterfalls nor in the immediate vicinity.

8. There are restaurants in Kollegala and there is just a single restaurant at Gaganachukki falls. However, it is best to carry your own snacks & bottled water for the road trip.

9. Please do not litter the area in and around the Shivanasamudra Waterfalls.

10. The best time to visit the Shivanasamudra Waterfalls is between the months of July and October. The waterfalls are the best during the monsoon season of July to August/mid-September.
