The Lunar New Year or Ugadi generally comes after Holi. It is assumed that the creator of the Hindu mythology the creator of universe Lord Brahma started the world on this day . As per Hindu Almanac this day comes on Chaitra Suddha or day padhyami or Ugadi. Also the calculations of the great Indian mathematician Bhaskaracharya proclaimed the day of Ugadi is the start of the new year, new month and new day. Early Spring also marks the beginning of a new life with plants acquiring new life. Spring is considered the first season of the year, which also promises a new year and new beginning.
