Women draw beautiful and big colourful Rangoli in front of their houses. After that all the family members pray to God and will have Neem and Jaggery mixture. The meaning for having this mixture is to prey god that their life be equal with bitter and sweet as in the mixture.

Before taking the mixture of this Jaggery and neem a shloka should be read " Shaturvajradehaya sarva sampathkarayacha sarvaarista vinashaaya nimbakam dalabakshakam".
