Kallathi Falls Kemmangundi Karnataka Kallathi Falls, also known as Kallathagiri Falls, is located just 10kms from Kemmangundi. The unique aspect of the Kallathi Falls is that when the water plunges from the peak of 45m of the Chandra Drona Hill, it literally seems to be paying obeisance to the Hindu God Shiva, whose temple is located below in a gap between the rocks: the Veerabhadreshwara Temple.
Bhadra Tiger Reserve Kemmangundi Karnataka At Kemmangundi you can hire a Jeep to take you to the Bhadra Tiger Reserve (about 2 hours drive). The trees here are primarily bamboo trees. As per local legend, a cave located in these hills was made holy by two highly revered religious persons: Hazrath Dada Hayath Mir Kalandar and Dattatreya Swami. Hence, every year followers of both the Hindu and the Muslim faith converge here for a jatra procession and urs. The Inam Dattatreya Peetha in the Baba Budangiri Range is thus very crowded during this annual festivity.
