Azim Premji University get more information on this university in this article.

Azim Premji University the first private university in Karantaka was finally approved in Karnataka state assembly on 12 March 2010.

Azim Premji University is the self funding university with no financial assistance by Government of Karnataka.

According to Azim Premji Foundation (APF) the university will provide teaching, training, research and development in the fields of elementary, secondary, education management and policy. Higher education minister Aravind Limbavali said that university will train teachers and non teaching staffers in education and skill development for imparting quality teaching to students from primary to high school.

With passing the Aziz Premji University Bill 2010, there will me more private players approaching Karnataka government to form more private university.

With forming of Azim Premji University there will be another institution added in the list of universities in Karnataka .
