Key to weight loss - Lifestyle tips!

Gaining weight and body FAT is easy! Before you realize it you gain few pounds and add extra inches your waist line. Have you realized that during the festival season especially you tend to put on weight more? All because our dear mothers or wives or sisters or relatives have fed us mouthwatering sweets, drinks and fried foods? Few of such family dinners, birth days and parties is all it takes to put 10 pounds extra in less than 2 months!


I will share with you few tips that i learned from my wife whom i am seen lose 20 pounds in 3 months straight. I followed her and lost weight too.
Here are few tips on life style, dietary habits from side:

1) Resist the temptation to drink lots of soft drinks, colas and eating icecreams. They are huge sources of calories and if you don't burn them you accumulate unhealthy fat.
2)Reducing intake of rice reduces your belly! Try wheat flour, chapathi and grain flour, ragi flour instead. There are umteen brands of oats, ragi flours in the market which can be substitutes for Rice.
3) Avoid rice after 6 PM. Have wheat based food items or oat based.
4)If you use car regularly park your car away from the office or shopping maul. This will enable your body to exercise by making you walk to the car!
5)Use stairs as much as you can
6) Play light sports like shuttle cock, ring, table tennis or run with your little ones around the office 30 minutes a day. Playing the good old hide and seek and other games with children will exercise your muscles and burn calories vigorously
6)Avoid cakes, pastries and chips. Go for dry fried corn or boiled corn instead.
7) Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables especially the leafy ones. I used to eat junk food like chips and popcorn while i spend few hours in front of TV or computer. I find it is much better to have a bag or cut carrots, cabbage to chew on.
8) Last but not least go for walks of 30 minutes at least every other day.

Having a weighing machine helps as you will tend to monitor your weight regularly and let it not reach danger levels. Good luck
