Need some advice on sleeping patterns and habits for your infant?
behavioral targeting
Here are some tips on trying to organize your baby's/child's sleep:
Put your baby to bed when she's drowsy, not fast asleep
Try not to look your baby in the eye
Eliminate or reduce too much bright lighting. Darkness can be good.
Relax the rules on diaper change. Don't change them too often.
Keep the sleep routine short and sweet
Connect the dots. If the kid is slightly older say over 2 years have a habit of playing connect the dots. This gets boring and the child will start yawning.
Exert control and set an early bedtime, preferably between 7 and 8 p.m.,
Practice climate control
Sure, 72 degrees Fahrenheit sounds comfy for a bedroom. And that's true — when you're awake. But the ideal sleeping temperature is between 60 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
Count sheep with the child. HE/she will eventually drowse of at time you want
It is a good idea to have soothening colors on your bedroom walls which will encourage a very pleasant sleep.
It is good to decorate bed room with cartoons, nice soft toys to make the baby feel cozy and comfy.
Wake kids at the same time every day
