Bus fares are hikes by BMTC effective July 2010 for all BMTC buses. Bus is the transport which many of the ordinary people travel. A hike in such transportation would mean a real blow to the people who cannot afford it.

Majority of the Bangaloreans like School and College students, middle class people of Karnataka and other office goers prefer to travel in Bus as a safe mode of transport and at affordable prices.

But in the recent days, there has been several hikes found in the Bus ticket rates in Karnataka. Even the Volvo buses in Karnataka are found filled and people standing filled in the buses. Such is the situation and the mobility of people. If there are sudden hikes like this, it is really a pity for the local non affordable people to travel by Government buses.

If one has to travel atleast for a kilometer, Minimum bus fare in Karnataka one has to spend minimum 3 to 5 Rupees. How can people whose earnings are less afford it.
