Sringeri is a small town located in the State of Karnataka in South India. Located in the Chickmagalur District, Sringeri is a picturesque site with the River Tunga flowing beside it. Due to this lovely location in the midst of the Western Ghats, visiting Sringeri provides a soothing sight to city-weary eyes. Since Sringeri is situated at an elevation of 672 metres, it has a fairly good climate year round.

Although Sringeri is a small town, its location is accessible from major cities of Karnataka, including the capital city Bangalore (327kms) and the city of Mangalore (150kms). Sringeri is also a short distance from the tourist spots of Jog Falls, Shimogha, Adumbe, Horanadu, etc.
