Shivaganga Hills – A Hill temple of Bangalore

Shivaganga Hills is one of the tourist spots and a Piligrimage place one has to see. The main lord here is Lord Shiva. This is a temple located on hills and one has to walk a long way to reach the top of the hill. It is a place with lots of visitors visiting daily.

There are many temples on this Shivaganaga Hills of Lord Shiva and Pathala Gange. There are many steps which one has to come over to reach the top of the Shivagange hills of Bangalore, Karnataka. The Shivagange hills of Bangalore, Karnataka are not carved exactly in the form of steps but it gives enjoyment to travel walking and reaching the top portion of the hill. The steps are carved artificially in order to walk along the steps and reach till the top of the Shivagange hills of Bangalore, Karnataka.

There are three temples which can be seen during climbing the Shivagange hills of Bangalore, Karnataka. At the beginning, one can find the temple of Lord Shiva temple in Shivagange hills and Pathala Gange temple in Shivagange hills of Bangalore, Karnataka (Ganga water below the earth). Further walks will lead to another temple of Shiva. In Shivagange hills of Bangalore, Karnataka there is a small hole where water flows. It is a belief that if one put their hand and if they get some water their wishes will come true. This is know as "Olakal Teertha". The water is a beneath the rocks and located in a dark place behind the temple. One has to bend and put their hands to get that water. The belief says that their wishes will come true if they happen to get the water. This is one of the specialties of Shivagange hills of Bangalore, Karnataka.

The other way to temple leads to "Pathala Gange Temple". Entering the path would lead to ancient statues of serpents which is "Naga devatas". The temple gives a very ancient look. Within this is a temple of Lord Shiva. Further to this is the "Pathala Gange". It is a big rock within the temple where there is Ganga water. The place is very dark and steps are made for people to walk and touch the water beneath the place. As the water is beneath this is so called Pathala Gange. The way via steps also leads to the temple of Lord Shiva at the top of the Hill. The place is within the hills is a bit dark. These two temples are on reachable points and many try to reach this temple and return back.

One more temple at the topmost part of the Shivagange hills of Bangalore, Karnataka is "Nandi" and other shiva temples. It takes longer to reach this top most part of the temple. Shivagange hills of Bangalore, Karnataka is a very big hill which do not have even shaped steps but carved to help people to manage climb the hill. One has to wear slippers and climb the hills as these helps a lot in traveling. There are people who climb without the slippers also which will bring a lot of ache to legs. After climbing the steps from down, there are two ways one can see. One is way to hill and the other is way to temple. If we happen to go via way to hill, you can climb the hill. One can see a beautiful view of places around the hill clearly. The steps to climb this place gives a trucking experience. The are small children to the old people who visit the temple till the top of the hill climbing so many steps. It gives a thrilling experience and courage to face life as people of all ages are found climbing the hills without any hesitation or pain. This teaches a lesson that all things are easy provided it should be attempted.

Ones one reaches the top of the hill, they can find Nandi statue in Shivagange hills of Bangalore, Karnataka. There is only supporting metal like thing to hold and climb the hill. Ones one reaches this Nandi, he can find the 36 degree view of the hill. There is also a big rock where there is one more temple which also gives a broad look of Shivagange hills of Bangalore, Karnataka.

How to reachShivaganga Hills



Shivagange hills of Bangalore, Karnataka is located around 70 kms from Bangalore (Bengaluru) via Tumkur Road. Take the Tumkur Road until Dobaspet (about 50 plus kilometers) and head to Shivaganga from there (about 10 Kms). Make sure to use the National Highway 4 as the road condition is extremely good and you will reach within a short span of time. The journey is very comfortable and traveling to the top will be fun and enjoyable.
