Shaneshwara is a Hindu God. He is the son of Godesses ‘Chaya Devi’. He is a god with dark complexion. He is called by various names such as ‘Shani’ ‘Shaneshwara’ ‘Shani Mahatma’ ‘Shani Deva’ ‘Chaya Putra’ etc.

Shaneshwara is a Hindu God. Shaneeshwara is the son of Godesses 'Chaya Devi'. He is a god with dark complexion. Lord Shaneeshwara is called by various names such as 'Shani' 'Shaneshwara' 'Shani Mahatma' '

Majority of the
Hindu gods
have an animal or bird with them and the symbol for Lord Shaneshwara is 'Crow'. Being black complexion, this god likes the colour 'Black'. Hindu mythology considers nine planets and Lord Shaneeshwara is also one among them. It is believed that Shaneeshwara is the god who represents patience, effort, endeavour, and endurance and also the one who brings in difficulties, restrictions and misfortunes in ones life.
How to make Pooja for Lord Shaneshwara
Normal Pooja is performed to Lord Shaneshwara unlike done for other gods. The normal Pooja items are turmeric, kunkum, flowers, coconut etc. Some people also offer sesame oil in a bottle for pooja. Abhishekam of Sesame oil reduces difficulties to people.
To overcome ones difficulties, devotees burn sesame (Yellu in Kannada) filled in black cloth and kept in oil. They offer pooja and burn these praying that their difficulties also burn in the way these sesames burn.
Saturdays are special days for Pooja of Shani Deva. Performing poojas on Saturdays will prove to be more effective. Saturday in Kannada Language is Shani vara which is believed to be the day of Lord Shiva.
"Shani Shanthi" is also a special pooja done by all Shani temples.

Every Hindu

would have the mantras of Lord Shaneshwara displayed. Chanting of Shani Mantra would releave difficulties.

is also attached to this temple. It also has 'Naga Mantapa' for devotes workship.
Saturdays are days filled with lot of devotes.
