Ingredients Required for Kootu Recipe Karnataka Style Delicious Vegetable Dish Preparation


Vegetables Required for Vegetable Kootu Karnataka Recipe
Beans 100gm
Cauliflower 100gm
Peas 100gm
Fresh Carrots 100gm
Capsicum 100gm
Capsicum lemon sized 1
Ash Pumpkin 50gm
Potato 100gm
Tomato medium sized 2 in number

Kootu Recipe Karnataka Style Other ingredients
Tur Dal 100gm
Fried Groundnut powder 1teaspon
Coconut 100gm
Tamarind 50mg (soak in water before half an hour)
Jaggery 1 squire (add water and make a juice)
Chilli powder 2 teaspoon
Pinch of Asafoetida
Salt as required

Oil 50ml
Mustard Seeds 1 teaspoon
Pinch of Turmeric Powder
pinch of Asafoetida
Few Curry Leaves as required
4 Dry Red Chilies cut each one into two pieces

Kootu Recipe Karnataka Style Delicious Vegetable Dish Preparation Method


Wash the vegetables carefully in running water to remove the pesticides and dusts.
Chop all the vegetables into medium sized and cook them in an open pan or Pressure cooker
If you are using a pressure cooker to cook vegetables, it should be over cooked which results mashing of vegetables. The cutting shape of the vegetables should be changes while cooking.
Three fourth of the cooking is best for Kootu Recipe Karnataka Style preparation.
Cook Tur Dal separately and then add the cooked vegetables with the Dal. Mix well.
Extract Tamarind juice and add with the Dal vegetable mixture and then the Jaggery and Chilli powder.
Fry and Grind the coconut with ground nut like a paste and add with the Veg-dal mixture.
Take a pan, pour some oil and add all the Seasoning ingredients, then add the Kootu Recipe with this and cook for about 10 minutes
Delicious Kootu Recipe Karnataka Style preparation is ready. This is the best combination for poori Chapatti and rice. It tastes good with rice by Ghee.
