Ingredients required to prepare Menthe Pulav, Karnataka Style
1.Basumathi rice - 1 bowl
2.Methi leaves - 1 small bowl
3.Curry leaves - 4-6
4.Oil (Ground nut/sunflower) - 1-2 table spoon
5.Cummin(jeera) - 1/2 table spoon
6.Ginger& Garlic paste - 1/2 table spoon
7.Ghee - 1-2 table spoons
8.Salt - as required
9.Green Chilly - 3-4 numbers
10.Coriender leaves - as required
11.Cardomom - 3-4 numbers
12.Chopped Onion - 1 small bowl
13.Cloves - 5-6 numbers
14.Dalchinni - small piece (3-4)
Preparation of menthe pulav in North Karnataka Stlye
1.Take a cooking pan pour oil and ghee in to the pan heat for 2 min.
2.Add cummin to pan , then add chopped green chilly and onions then fry untill onions becomes golden brown color.
3.Add grinded cloves,cardomom,coriender leaves & dalchinni and ginger garlic paste to pan.
4.Now add methi leaves and salt as required for taste.
5.Stirr well and add water as the ratio double of rice.
6.Leave for 8-10 minutes until water get boiled, now add rice to pan and close the pan.
7.cook for 3 whistles.
8.Now Tasty,Spicy, menthe pulav is Ready to serve.
9.serve it with curd for good taste.
