Jogayya a newly released Movie
This is a film based on the maladies of the current political situation of Karnataka. It takes on the ruling party boss's land grab from the poor farmers in the name of global investments for state development. It also highlights the fostering of the rowdyism, goondaism and the underworld criminals and the opportunistic approaches of the opposition and its leader. Though it is depicting the Karnataka situation, it holds good for the political scene in the whole country. The media which is playing to the gallery is also not spared in the theme. This theme is like the continuation of the earlier Blockbuster film by name Jogi. Jogayya starts from Jogi ends. The Jogi turned Jogayya leaves rowdyism and shits to North Karnataka to settle down. Jogayya looks after the cattle of a rich man. The cattle owner's daughters (played by the heroine Sumit Kaur Atwal) develop love for Jogayya and get him out of the jail. After that the film travels through interesting patches which has to be watched best in the theatres itself.
Performances of Artists
This is Shivarajkumar's 100th film. Shivanna has a given an excellent performance as usual. In fact in this film overwhelming portion of performance is only for Shivanna. Sumit Kaur Atwal, the heroine or the leading lady of the film has very little to do. But she has impressed herself in the small role she played. Other supporting actors have little to do but have done their respective roles creditably. Pooja Gandhi as the lawyer had given a good performance.
Screenplay and dialogue
As mentioned it is a family drama with a good message. Though it is a family drama the director Prem has blended the necessary commercial aspects like the fights, dances etc. The rich production values are beautifully and successfully introduced by the director. The director has a complete grip on the screenplay and dialogue ad keeps the audience interested throughout the duration of the film and keep them brooding over the political situation in the state.
Other Aspects of the Film
Excellent songs, lyrics and music are plus factor of the Music by V Harikrishna. The film also has the wonderful costumes, stunning stunts, excellent art, good graphic works, enjoyable comedy, beautiful scenic locations and very good dances are added features. The dialogues are not having many punches. Its message is the bad of underworld and to create an awareness to vote in elections. A sentiment about mother is incorporated which haunts the audience often. The film has good technical elements and incorporated some. The producer is Rakshitha Prem.
The film like any other film is having some inconsistencies and lapses but which all will go unnoticed because of the compensation f all other factors.
On the whole it is a very good entertainer worth watching.
