Karnataka state cabinet expansion by five new ministers

In the first round of swearing held on 8th August, 21 ministers took the oath lead by Chief Minister D.V.Sadananda Gowda. Here in this article you can find the details of 5 new ministers along with portfolios of the 21 ministers.

The second round of including new ministers ended up with lot of force by Reddy brothers leading to a fix which got concluded in adding only five new ministers to the cabinet.

Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda's total cabinet ministers is 26 members as on 11th August 2011.

The new five ministers who were MLA's are:-

1. Anand Asnotikar from Karwar
2. Balachandra Jarkiholi from Arabhavi, Belgaum
3. Raju Gowda ka Narasimha naik from Surpura
4. C.P.Yogeshwar from Channapatna
5. Varthur Prakash from Kolar

These five ministers were sworn-in on 11th August 2011 at Raj Bhavan as informed by BJP State president K.S. Eshwarappa.

6. Portfolios of Murugesh Nirani: Large and medium scale industries

7. Portfolios of C.C.Patil: Women and child development

8. Portfolios of Umesh Katti: Agriculture
