As per the proposal of out going B.S. Yedurappa who resigned on 31st July 2011, a new chief minister was sworn-in on 3rd August 2011. Here in this article you will find a few details of the new Chief minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda along with his portfolios.

D.V.Sadananda Gowda is given the post of new Chief minister of Karnataka. The party high command has accepted his proposal of B.S.Yedurappa who resigned his post on 31st July 2011. The BJP member and Lok Sabha member D.V.Sadananda Gowda who is 58 years, hailing from the Vokalliga community, is known for his honesty and simplicity.

Expansion of D.V.Sadananda Gowda:

D.V.Sadananda Gowda is born in Devaragunda family of mandekolu village in Sullia district of Karnataka State. Venkappa Gowda his father and mother Kamala.

D.V.Sadananda Gowda has started his political career in 1991 and served in various political fields. Firstly he was a president of BJP, Sullia constituency, which is his native place. He has also worked as member of legislative assembly and member of parliament. On 3rd August 2011 he was sworn-in by the Honorable Governor of Karnataka,Shri. Hans Raj Bharadwaj. He has taken up the post of Chief Minister of Karnataka state with finance department, tourism department, revenue department, health department, mines and geology department, forest and minority welfare department as his portfolios. He has interest in folk arts.
