Ramanjaneya Gudda is one of the famous places of Hanumanthanagar in Bangalore. This temple was originally built by the god of bangalore that is Kengal Hanumanthaih. There is a huge statue of Hanuman hugging Rama which can be seen from a very long distance.This statue is 9 meter long.

SRI RAMANJANEYA Temple is also greatly called as "Hanumanthana gudda" which is located in the renowned town Hanumanth nagar in Bengaluru. Sri Ramanjaneya temple is very famous old temple, which has a great historical story of Rama and Anjaneya where Rama and anjaneya fight and get back together. This shows great love of Rama for Hanuma and also Hanuma's great devotion towards Rama.

Ramanjaneya temple is a famous temple cum park. Formerly this was known as temple but as of now it is a favourite park for all walking lovers to enjoy their morning walk! In our Kannada the meaning of "Gudda" is Hill. This is one of the oldest hill in Bangalore. However Hanumanthanagar is also known for other hill called Hari hara gudda.

Sri Ramanjaneya Temple is on the top of the gudda(hill) that is why this gudda is called as Hanumanthana gudda. The temple is surrounded by a beautiful park.

Why is the place called HANUMANTHANAGAR and temple as RAMA ANJANEYA GUDDA?

This being the temple of anjaneya or hanumantha was built by late Kengal Hanumanthaih! Hence the place being called as Hanumanthanagar is one of the reason. Also,because,near the Anjaneya temple on top there is a very big statue of Rama and Hanuman hugging together that is 9 meter long is located at the top of the hill, hence the name of this famous hill is Ramanjaneya Gudda.

Few years back this was not developed properly. The way for Few years back this was not developed properly. The way for the temple temple was very bad and risky too. Now RAMA ANJANEYA GUDDA looks very awesome and the interior of the temple and also the exterior of the temple is very good. All credits go to former Hanumanthanagar MLA K.Chandrashekhar!

BBMP under the guidance of Chandrashekahar developed nice park on top of this Rama anjaneya gudda which was just a stony place with lots of hurdles like stones,grass etc in the walking path to temple.

Other references in and around Ramanjaneya Gudda(main gate since there are three different ways to enter) is Maradi Subbaih Marriage Hall and also there is a Government School there.
