Karnataka State Open University is located in Mysore which offers distant education for various degree, diploma and other certification courses. There are regional centres as well as study centres located in various places of Karnataka which facilitates the candidates to contact the centres for any admission or clarification processes. The examination can also be held in the opted place by the candidate.

Applications are invited for admissions to various degree, diploma, Certificate courses, IGNOU Adopted Programme in subjects related to Arts, Science & Commerce. All these are distant Education Courses. The Study centers are located in various districts of Karnataka such as Bangalore, Mysore, Tumkur, Mangalore, Shimoga, Davangere, Dharwad & Gulbarga.

Last date for receipt of duly filled in applications of BA/BCom without penal fee : 21st Oct 2011

Last date for receipt of duly filled in applications of MLISc without penal fee : 17th Oct 2011

Last date for receipt of duly filled in applications of BLISc without penal fee : 20th Oct 2011

Last date for receipt of duly filled in applications of B. Ed without penal fee : 24th September 2011

Last date for receipt of duly filled in applications of Special B.Ed without penal fee : 30th Sept 2011

Last date for receipt of duly filled in applications of M Ed without penal fee : 30th Sept 2011

Last date for receipt of duly filled in applications of MBA without penal fee : 14th Sept 2011

The Admission process for the Academic Year 2011-12 will commence in the Head office at Mysore and Bangalore Regional Centre on 27-08-2011 and other Regional Centres the process will commence from 02-09-2011.
