Sweet Potato Cutlet with dry prawn in Karnataka Style


Items needed to prepare Sweet Potato cutlet with dry prawn in Karnataka Style

Sweet potato (Cooked and smashed) - 1/2 kg

Dry prawns (Fried and Powdered) - 100 gm

Onions (Big Size, Chopped) - 2 Nos.

Green chillies - 3 Nos.

Ginger Paste - 2 Tbsp.

Garlic Paste - 2 Tbsp.

Turmeric powder - 2 Pinch

Coriander Powder - 1 Tsp

Chilli Powder - 1 Tsp

Garam Masala Powder - 3/4 Tsp

Salt - Required Quantity

Coriander leaves - 1 Small Bunch

Curry leaves - 3 stick

Bread crumbs - 1 Cup

Eggs - 2 Nos.

Oil - 6 Tbsp.

Method of preparation of Sweet Potato Cutlet with dry prawn in Karnataka Style

1) Take a thick bottom vessel and heat the oil in it.

2) Once the oil is heated put the ginger and garlic paste in it and fry it.

3) Then put the chopped onions and green chillies to this fried paste and fry them further.

4) Now include the prawn powder into the tawa and fry it well.

5) Further add the remaining masalas and salt and stir fry them all together till the water evaporates.

6) Finally put the mashed potatos and mix well.

7) At the end garnish it with the coriander leaves and curry leaves as the toppings.

8) Then make it into small rounds and then bring it to any shape that you wish the cutlet to be.

9) Once the cutlets are made to the required shape immerse it in egg whites & pat them with bread crumbs.

10) Now the cutlet has to be deep fried in oil.

Once the cutlet is fried, serve it hot with ketchup.
