Different style corn pulav

These days people are very much health conscious. I will teach you how to prepare yummy corn pulav in a different and easy manner. This is a yummy corn recipe. These days every one is fond of corn. But the best part here is trying Pulav with corn. It has an amazing taste believe me! Try it out.


Corn Pulav :



What are the ingredients to make corn pulav ?



1.Rice - 1 cup

2.Onions(medium) - 2 finely chopped

3.Green chillies - 2 or 3 finely chopped

4.Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp

5.Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

6.Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp

7.Garam masala Powdetr - 1/2 tsp

8.Corn kernels - tinned (available in market) OR
plain corn kernels - pressure cook them with little salt

9.Salt to taste

10.Oil for frying - 2 to 3 tbsp

11.Coriander leaves or cilantro finely chopped for garnishing



Corn pulav





What is the procedure to make corn pulav ?



1.Cook rice in a pressure cooker. Add 2 cups water for a cup of rice.

2.Take oil in a pan or Khadai. Add mustard seeds & cumin seeds. Let them crackle.

3.Add the chopped green chillies & fry them for a minute.

4.Then add the chopped onions & fry them until they turn golden brown.

5.To this add turmeric powder, garam masala powder, salt, corn kernels & mix well for a minute.

6.Then add the cooked rice & mix well.

7.Garnish it with coriander leaves

Best tasted with : Raita,Khurma or pickle.

Health benefits of corn Pulav :



High in Proteins and Carbohydrates.

Less fat.

Hint : Add still more vegetables and sprouts to enhance the taste and also the health benefits.
