Ingredients for Karnataka’s Badi Sompu Leaf Mocktail Recipe
Badi Sompu Leaves…2 Bunches
Ginger…. ½ Cup
Lemon….2 Big Sized
Mint Leaves…. For Garnishing
Sugar…As Required
Ice Cubes… As Required
Step by Step procedure for Karnataka’s Badi Sompu Leaf Mocktail Recipe
1. To make
Badi Sompu Leaf mocktail
, buy 2 bunches of fresh Badi Sompu leaves and separating the leaves from the stem. Now clean the Badi Sompu leaves well and let the water to drain completely from the Badi Sompu leaves.
2. Now take the ginger and wash and clean it well by peeling off the skin from it. Now wash again and slice them into medium size pieces.
3. Then take the lemon and cut it across into two halves. Then squeeze it out with a lime juice presser and take out the juice without even a single seed.
4. Now take a mixer-grinder and add the Badi Sompu leaves, ginger sliced, lemon juice and sugar to grind it. Add little amount of water if required.
5. Once all the ingredients are finely grinder, place a filter over a vessel and empty the contents of the mixer-grinder to it. Once all the liquid filters to the vessel dispose the residue.
6. In this mean time a white smooth deposit gets settled at the bottom of the vessel in which Badi Sompu Leaf Mocktail is filtered.
7. Now pour the Karnataka’s Badi Sompu Leaf Mocktail into the glasses in which it is to be served. Do not empty till the last as there will be a deposit as said above. This must not be added with the
Karnataka’s Badi Sompu Leaf Mocktail
.
8. Fill 3/4th of all the glasses with the Karnataka’s Badi Sompu Leaf Mocktail.
9. Fill the rest part of the glass with crushed ice cubes.
10. Now semi scrouge the mint leaves that are reserved to be garnished. Finally add one or two semi squashed mint leaves in each glass for garnishing.
11. Put the stirrer in each glass and serve it cool after the meal or as an appetizer before or with the food.
