Special and variety dish Cheese pakodas

We generally prepare pakodas with onions or with mixed vegetables. But trying pakodas with cheese sounds different. Since cheese in one of the chief and the rich ingredient that has been used these days for most of the north Indian and Chinese dishes, I just experimented the traditional Kannada recipe Pakoda with cheese. I am assuring you it will definitely be a hot yummy treat for your mouth as an evening snack!


Cheese Pakodas :




What are the ingredients to make cheese pakodas?



1. Cheese slices - 2

2. Besan Powder (Kadle hitttu)- 1 Cup

3. Corn flour- 1 Tsp

4. Salt- to taste

5. Chilly powder - 1/4th Tsp

6. Baking Powder- 1/2 Tsp

7. Citric acid- 1/2 tsp

8. Onions- 1 big sized one

9. Green Chillies- 2

10. Curry leaves- 4 to 5 leaves

11. Coriander grated - 2 tbsp

12. Oil- For deep frying.

13. Bread slices- 2


How to prepare Cheese pakodas ?




1. Cut cheese and bread slices into small pieces.

2. Put these pieces into a bowl. Add besan powder,corn flour,baking powder to it.

3. Mix it properly.

4. Later add salt,chilly powder,onions,green chillies,coriander and curry leaves. Then mix it properly.

5. Add proper amount of water and keep it aside for half an hour!

6. Make small pakodas and deep fry them in oil. Hot and yummy pakodas are ready to eat!


Tip : Serve hot pakodas with tomato ketchup or Pudina chutney. They will taste good!
