Dandeli is famous for wild life sanchtury and rafting in Karnataka.the wild life of dandeli is famous for hornbill and crocodiles,its very nice to see,and also this Dandeli holds the designation as hornbill reserve.

In Dandeli we can have lot of entertainment by jungle safari, trekking, white water rafting, rappelling, fishing, boating, swimming, bird watching and coracle rides. There are also many sightseeing attractions in and around Dandeli like Naghjari view point, Syntheri rocks, Maulangi, Kulgi nature camp, Supa dam, Ganeshgudi, Shanmukha view point, Vincholli falls, Magod falls etc.

Then from Dandeli base camp,after 25km we get Kavla Caves which is a must see place in Dandeli.we have to trek up a thousand steps through evergreen forests to reach the ancient Kavla caves. It will be amazing while trekking,and after returning back from Kavla caves, we can see and enjoy a breathtaking view of the river Kali.

Then Rafting is one of the most and must visit place in Dandeli.There is almost 9-14 km of rafting facility available for 2-3 hours or more.For Rafting we are taken to the up stream, put in an inflatable boat and then are pushed down the river.It is an awesome experince in the boat and it is very adventures.While in the boat we are accompanied by trained guides who even give them lessons in rafting.

Then again for about 25km from dandeli wild life Sanctury,we will get another beautiful place called Shiroli peak. The peak is called the sunset view point and it offers excellent view of the peaks located in the Western Ghats. And we can also see a beautiful views of the Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary from this point.

How to reach Dandeli

By BUS:- We can reach Dandeli by bus from Dharwad its about 55-60km, from hubli 70km, from bangalore its about 450-470km.

By TRAIN:- We can reach Dandeli by train from Bangalore to Alanvar.This Alanvar is the nearest railway station which is about 30km away from Dandeli.The train name is Rani Chennama.

By FLIGHT:- The nearest Airport is Hubli Airport,which is 50km from Dandeli.
